Southwind Vineyard & Winery ~ an oasis in the forest~
Exquisite grounds, trails for walking, dog friendly and many community based activities can all be found here at Southwind Vineyard & Winery .
Currently Cumberland County's ONLY winery, we are nestled in one hundred acres of woods where you are free to explore.
While we occasionally have food trucks come out you are always welcome to bring your own snacks, appetizers or light dinners.
Reservations are not required but always gladly accepted to ensure proper accommodations for our guests.
THE WINE
While serious Bordeaux style reds are the specialty of the house, Southwind also serves some sweeter varieties like their famous grape soda style wine - Grape Kiss and more popular white wines such as Chardonnay and white blends so that everyone may find something they enjoy here.
ABOUT THE WINEMAKER
Lorre is a self proclaimed Francophile. As a lover of all things French, she has lived in France at times, studied and taught French for years. Lorre is the sole winemaker who specializes in Bordeaux style, full body wines like the Blood, Sweat & Tears blend.
Horses are another passion of Lorre's and are found among several pastures on the property. Be sure to grab some treats for them when leaving the tasting room, they look forward to guests almost as much as we do!
