Southwind Vineyard and Winery specializes in wines made in the Bordeaux style. We strive to make wines that are deep in color, lush in viscosity and body, with a balance of discreet tannins and crisp acidity.  Wines we have made and experimented with so far:  Cabernet Sauvignon, Medoc or Meritage blend, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Rose, Sparkling Red and Sparkling White.  The two wines we are most proud of to date are the Bloody Hand Cabernet Sauvignon which is rich and lush without too much oak,  Joe's favorite.  The second is a Blanc de Noir, meaning a white wine made from red grapes.  We ended up with a delightful Cremat remeniscent of a Proseco.  It was so good, fruity, light, that it is all gone!  It was a challenge to make and we were so proud of the result.  We are now working on Merlot, Rose and will do another Cremat.
